Thing #4

I just finished Thing #4. I think Access is something I need to work on being familiar with. I have been learning that work as a librarian has a lot to do with technology. When I transfer next semester, I'll keep that in mind. I find it interesting anyway, so I'll enjoy myself. I just think it'll probably help a lot if I take classes like that. I'll be a better librarian. I was reading an article just the other day about how we need librarians now that know how to use technology, and so few do. One library has the page working the library site because she's the only one who knew how to do it. My major as of now is English, but maybe i'll double major in Technology of some kind? That might be a good idea.

7 1/2 Habits

I think the habit I have the hardest time with is #3, viewing problems as challenges. I really dislike change or things not going as planned, so problems that make me have to change how I approach something or what I'm doing really bother me. The easiest one for me is #6, using technology. I love computers and learning how to do more on them. I would use more that's available if I had the money!

First entry!

I've just started the 23 Things, and listened to the podcasts. I think this'll be really interesting for me because I like technology, and I want to be a librarian. I'm only a page now, but this experience at the library has been great. I'm already starting to memorize the numbers for where to find certain subjects in the non-fiction. I think this Learning 2.0 program will be extremely helpful, too, and I'm glad it's available to all of us.
