Thing #23

Well! This has definitely been a good experience for me. I think I was familiar enough with computers and the internet to not be lost with the Things, but I wasn't so familiar that I knew all of the Things covered. The biggest Thing I took away with me from this was the Bloglines one. I use that religiously at my house now, and it has saved me a lot of checking of each site I like to keep up on. Some places don't have RSS feeds yet, but it's getting there, so it's really useful. I've also gotten to add some feeds from sites I didn't previously check. Book review sites and the blog of an author I enjoy are a couple of those. This Learning 2.0 has also been helpful, I think, in my quest to be a librarian. I am aware now of how important it is to know about technology to be a library, and I'm inspired to perhaps minor in Computer Science, or at least take a few classes in that field. I would not have had enough motivation to search and figure these things out myself, so I'm glad I had this opportunity, even as just a page. I would definitely do this again if I could, but I'm unfortunately probably going to be gone before that happens. Oh well! It has been great.
